GYSA follows a strict no-refund policy, with all registrations being non-refundable. However, we have several policies in place to ensure that every child and family is treated fairly.

While GYSA maintains a no-refund policy, we understand that certain circumstances may warrant a refund. If a refund is requested at least 4 weeks prior to the season’s first game, it may be granted by GYSA. However, a mandatory processing fee will be applied to all refunds.

Any GYSA registration is eligible for a full credit toward a future season if requested by the parent before the first game of the season. This credit can be applied to any sport or season within the same school year as the sport originally registered for. If a uniform has been distributed, the cost of the uniform may be deducted from the credit.

If a credit request is made after the first game, partial credits may be considered by GYSA staff on a case-by-case basis. These requests must be submitted in writing and will be followed up with directly.

WAIVER AND LIABILITY TERMS & CONDITIONS: I hereby acknowledge that I am the parent / legal guardian of the child who is a minor under the age of eighteen (“Minor Child”) and will be participating in the Greater Youth Sports Association's School Sports Solution Summer Sports Program ("Sports Program"). In consideration for the benefits to be derived from My Minor Child’s participation in the Sports Program, I, on behalf of myself and my Minor Child, hereby acknowledge the following: (1) I am aware that all Sports Programs involve risk, and that some are violent contact sports; (2) I am aware that playing or practicing in any Sports Program will be a dangerous activity involving MANY RISKS OF INJURY; and (3) I UNDERSTAND THAT THE DANGERS AND RISKS OF PLAYING OR PRACTICING IN THE SPORTS PROGRAM INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO SERIOUS INJURY AND DEATH. On behalf of myself and my Minor Child, I further understand and acknowledge that the dangers and risks of playing or practicing in the Sports Program may result not only in injury, but serious impairment of my Minor Child’s future abilities to earn a living, to engage in other business, social, and recreational activities, and generally to enjoy life. Because of the danger of participating in the above Sports Program, I, both on my own behalf and on behalf of my Minor Child, acknowledge and understand the importance of following rules and regulations established by Greater Youth Sports Association. My minor child hereby agrees to obey such rules, regulations, and instructions. I further acknowledge that my Minor Child is in good physical condition and do not know of any condition or reason that my Minor Child should not participate in the Sports Program. I REALIZE THAT SPORTS INJURIES CAN BE CATASTROPHIC FOR THOSE WITHOUT PROPER MEDICAL COVERAGE. On behalf of myself and my Minor Child, I HEREBY RECOGNIZE AND ASSUME ALL THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH MY MINOR CHILD PLAYING OR PRACTICING IN THE SPORTS PROGRAM AND RELEASE GREATER YOUTH SPORTS ASSOCIATION, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, AGENT REPRESENTATIVES, AND VOLUNTEERS FROM ANY AND ALL OBLIGATIONS, LIABILITIES, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, COSTS, AND EXPENSES, INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES, OR DEMANDS OF ANY KIND OF NATURE WHATSOEVER WHICH MAY ARISE OR IN CONNECTION WITH MY MINOR CHILD’S PARTICIPATION IN ANY ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THIS SPORTS PROGRAM. The terms hereof serve as a release and assumption of risk for myself and on behalf of my Minor Child, as well as our respective heirs, estates, executors, administrators, and assignees.

COVID-19 Release Liability Waiver

I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing.

I further acknowledge that Greater Youth Sports Association has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 through any events that are not virtual, such as, but not limited to, practices, game days, and end of season events (“Program Events”).

I further acknowledge that Greater Youth Sports Association cannot guarantee that myself or my Minor Child will not become infected with the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to other Program Events participants and their families.

I voluntarily seek services on the part of my Minor Child and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk and my Minor Child’s risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending any Program Events.

I hereby release and agree to hold Greater Youth Sports Association harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of Greater Youth Sports Association, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from Greater Youth Sports Association. I understand that this release discharges Greater Youth Sports Association from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the organization with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from Greater Youth Sports Association. This liability waiver and release extends to the Greater Youth Sports Association organization together with all owners, partners, employees, and volunteers.

Media Release

Greater Youth Sports Association often uses photos / videos from games, camps and other program related events in marketing materials including but not limited to website, flyers, brochures and banners. By signing below, I give Greater Youth Sports Association permission to use photos / videos of my child participating in GYSA related events in the manner described above.

By signing my name below and submitting this form, I electronically sign this agreement and acknowledge and represent that I have read and understand it and accept all terms and conditions as laid out above.

I electronically sign it voluntarily and for full and adequate consideration, fully intending to be bound by the same; and that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent.
